Dr. Alan Cairns went to be with the Lord today, November 5, after contracting the Covid-19 virus. He turned 80 this summer. Mrs. Cairns praised the doctors for doing everything they could to save his life, but it was the Lord's time to call him home. Many around the world and especially in our Free Presbyterian denomination are deeply saddened at this news. He was a faithful pastor and friend to many people after serving in Ballymoney FPC, Northern Ireland, Faith FPC, Greenville South Carolina, before his retirement in 2008. His voice still goes out over Let the Bible Speak radio on many stations in the U.S.A. He was a godly, wise, enthusiastic minister of the gospel always seeking the extension of the kingdom of God. As a theologian, he has been a mentor to a great number of our ministers and to present-day students serving in the FPCNA. His wife Joan resides in Ballymoney and his son, Frank, lives with his wife Whitney in Virginia. They have three little girls. Watch our news section for updates on funeral arrangements.
