At last night's Session meeting it was decided to return to in-person services commencing on Wednesday, June 3., and to both morning and evening services commencing Sunday, June 7.
Lord willing, we will have the following measures in place for the safety of all who attend:
The details of this plan will be shared with our deacons on May 26, when further steps may be included to safeguard all who attend our services.
We are thankful for the commitment of our congregation during these weeks of isolation. Thank you for tithing, joining in by webcast, and participating in our prayer times by Zoom. We sincerely look forward to more normal worship times with you present in our midst. Attendance is voluntary and if you wish to hold off attending until a future date we fully understand your decision and caution. This is no ordinary flu!
This plan is in line with health advisories at this time. If things change, we may need to revise our plan to keep everyone safe. The safety of our people is paramount in our planning and our prayers as we look to the Lord for His watch care over each one.
I am thankful to report that I know of no one in our congregation nor none of our radio listeners who have become ill with this virus. We are thankful to live in a part of Canada that has had fewer cases of Covid-19 than elsewhere. Sadly, there has been a report of cases at Langley Lodge where Mr. Chesney ministered for many years. Do pray for the Lord's help for all in that residence. Services there have been postponed indefinitely.
As you may have heard me state, my prayer is that this will be a time of spiritual growth in each one of our people. We look forward to the fellowship of believers with beaming faces and full of the joy of the Lord. Remember, we are only to live the life of a branch and the Lord will bring forth the fruit through us. Our witnessing is not just what we do, but who we are.
The Lord bless you and keep you in His love,
