Farewell message:

I wish to thank the Lord for His untold mercies to me, Beulah, and our family over these years of church planting and pastoring this congregation. It has been the passion of my life to care for the congregation and to preach the Word of God, expounding the gospel week by week.

I'm thankful for the joy of leading souls to Christ and seeing them grow in the Lord. We continue to pray for the lost. Some have grown up in the church and though they have heard the gospel are yet not saved. We continue to pray for their salvation.

We praise God for many trophies of His grace to lead sinners, who were slaves to sin, become servants of the Lord Jesus, and for helping saints who struggled with lack of assurance of salvation come to rest in the perfect white righteousness of Christ.

There is still a great work to be done. I'm happy to remain part of the church's witness through the radio ministry in the greater Vancouver area and throughout various parts of Canada. I thank the session and committee for supporting me in this future work for the Lord. I will be praying for our elders, and Rev. Saunders, the interim moderator/pastor, that God in His grace will use them to seek a minister who will faithfully and passionately preach the unsearchable riches of Christ and lovingly care for the congregation.

I rejoice in the solid and united band of regular worshippers in the church and for the many opportunities before you for future ministry in the community. My heart will always be with this congregation until that great day when we will worship together in heaven above. May the Lord in His great loving-kindness watch over you to keep you in His tender care, and make you ever useful in His kingdom.

Thank you, dear congregation, for your prayers, support, and the love you have shown toward us through the years. We have been labourers together. Some have done more than their share and all have contributed to the sweet fellowship we have enjoyed together as a church family. We will miss you greatly and look forward to our occasional visits to witness your growth in the Lord.

With the session's permission, I hope to provide a monthly newsletter to provide updates on my ministry on Let the Bible Speak - Canada, and, Lord willing, I may conduct monthly prayer meetings by Zoom to seek the Lord for His blessing upon the preaching of His word by radio.

Yours in the bonds of the gospel,

Pastor Ian Goligher
